ELP stands for "Endorsed Local Provider." These are individuals we have thoroughly vetted so you have access to the top professionals who serve your area.
To become an ELP, an agent must first be missional. We want to make sure our ELPs are an extension of the Ramsey culture, so we look to build relationships with agents who are fans of the show and promote the financial philosophies that Dave teaches on the air every day. They should have the “heart of a teacher,” meaning they will not only take the time to explain what to do, but why. We interview each professional and only work with those who commit to serving our fans the way we would if we were in their business.
For our insurance and tax ELPs, we require a minimum of two years full-time experience in their field. Our insurance ELPs must be independent agents (in other words, they don’t work for a provider like Allstate or Geico) so that they have the ability to shop around multiple providers for the ideal coverage at the best price. Our tax providers must be either a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or an EA (Enrolled Agent).
Once an agent becomes a part of the program, they are assigned a personal coach here in our office who provides accountability and mentorship so that the ELP will be successful within our program and continue to serve our customers just as we would!
